What we are, plainly
No slogans. Here is what you are actually hiring.
We work Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison and Transylvania counties: mountain driveways, subdivision roads, small commercial lots.
The stone base, the grade that sheds water and the hot mix on top are built by the same people, in that order, with nothing handed off between trades.
We measure the drive, probe the base and look at where the water goes. Then you get a written number and the list of things that would move it. Nothing is quoted blind over the phone.

When a patch, a crack seal or an overlay is the honest fix, we say so, even when a new driveway would be the bigger job.
Permit rules on this site link to NCDOT and the local governments that issue them. Cost figures are regional ranges, always stated as ranges.

Five steps, in the order they happen.
You send the form
A few lines about the driveway and the town is enough to start.
We measure and probe
Length, width, grade, what is under the surface now, where the water runs and how the trucks get in. This is where the price comes from.
A written price
With the scope spelled out and the permit question answered before anything is scheduled.
Base and grade
Stone compacted, the crown and edges set, ditches and culverts handled. The parts you cannot see are built first.
Hot mix, edges, cure
Asphalt laid hot and rolled tight, edges tamped, and the first sealcoat scheduled for when the mat is ready.

Whether you need a permit
A driveway that meets a state-maintained road goes through NCDOT; inside town limits there are width, slope and sight-line rules. We tell you which applies before we price it. The rules, explained.
When an overlay is money on top of a failing base
Resurfacing only works over pavement that is sound underneath. We say so when it is not, even when the overlay would be the easier sale. Resurface or replace.
When to sealcoat, and when not to
New asphalt has to cure first. Sealing it too soon does harm, and we will not do it just because it was asked for. The timing.
